Homebrew Heretic V0.1 Game

This is a port of Heretic by bjohnson. A game from the very early days of First Person Shooter games. It's based on the Doom engine but you play a magician in a medieval dungeon. definitely download this if you have Doom! FOR 1.5 FIRMWARE PSP ONLY!!!!

Homegrew Game Polygon v0.3 (formerly Bejeweled for PSP)

The Grey Matter's bejeweled clone has been updated and this new version's got improved graphics and a edgy little soundtrack scored by SINX. It's a must download for puzzle freaks but you gotta have that 1.5 Firmware PSP.

basic controls to swap a jewel are hold "O" button + direction on the d-pad.

One annoying bug i've found is that you have to use the Polygon game menu to quit the game (hit select). The standard "Home" -> Quit (Yes) doesn't seem to work.

while i prefer to let the game talk by itself, i do have to make several small remarks about this release...

1)for some of you it might seem that there aren't many changes, and while this is is true , it's mostly because most of the changes are in the infra-structure. these changes will allow me me to add more features faster, and shorten the time between the releases.

2) the puzzle game type is a bit laggy, i'm trying to find a way to solve it without overclocking the CPU.

3) in the next release -
- the long awaited jukebox.
- sprite effects.
- better fonts.
- maybe a new graphic theme.

4) and last but not least - i would like to thank to Steve Bisson for creating the audio tracks for this release. in this version there is only one background track. in the next releases i promise to include them all as part of the jukebox!
thank you Steve, i hope there will be more great people like you in the homebrew scene.

5) have fun, and remember - scummVM is way more addictive!

I'm just updating this entry because a new version, v.25, was released this morning.

properly handle promotions: computer can choose promotional piece, so
can player.

option: show moves (show the moves in the current game)
to show moves you must either have show options off or show
captures off (or both)
you can use show moves as coordinates or SAN.

print last move in SAN, keep track of moves in SAN

analysis mode option - when in analysis mode, RTRIGGER will make the
next move in the analysis stack. Analysis stack will be moves up to
the point of switching into analysis mode. Should also work with
stored games.

button change: LTRIGGER goes back only 1 ply. This makes navigating
analysis mode easier.

analysis mode displays last 20 moves (plies)

Terra Incognita is a very nice RPG ported from the pc version. The game has high production value and features a very nicely designed and drawn 3d world . This is not your average homebrew but a full blow, fully developed game. It's by far the most impressive homebrew game so check it out now.

Homebrew Bejeweled Game

No major breakthroughs, so this is for 1.5 firmware PSPs only. This is one of the most polished games out there right now and awesome for a first release (v0.1). It's a good port and you definitely get a taste of the highly addictive bejeweled gameplay. just in time for any holiday travel. cheers. You can talk to the author here.

Read the Homebrew Game Pack #1 entry for instructions on how to play homebrew games. The controls in the game are: Hold down the "o" button and use the direction pad to swap the gems.

There is just one playable level but we'll be releasing more games from DOOM relatives once they get a little more stable. enjoy!

PSP Homebrew Game Pack #1

This is download includes the latest builds for homebrew games Lulines, PSPChess and Casino Addict. This is for North American PSP owners with the 1.5 firmware. These games will NOT run on 1.51 and 1.52 PSPs. Basically, if you're never upgraded the firmware on your PSP (and you would know if you did) and you bought your PSP in/from the US then you can run these games.

Instructions
1. Use "Send To PSP"
2. Go the "GAME" menu on your psp.
3. Select the "Memory Stick". You'll see icons for games and a few "Currupted Data". Ignore the "Corrupted Data" icons for now, we'll eliminate them in the next release.
4. Press x to select your game.
5. To remove these games, delete the directories under /PSP/GAME
(*) To install these games manually, put the contents of the zip in /PSP/Game

WARNING: We run and test these games but you should use caution and understand the potential risk of downloading software from independent developers.
